Alessandro Berardi started his senior career in 2009 as one of the reserve goalkeepers of Serie A’s Lazio.
During the 2012-2013 season, he was loaned to Hellas Verona, who then played in Serie B. It was with that club that he made his first professional appearance as a senior.
The following season, Berardi was loaned to U.S. Salernitana 1919 who had just been promoted to Italy’s third-tier Lega Pro Prima Divisione. He made 6 appearances for the club.
For the 2014-2015 season, he was loaned to U.S. Grosseto 1912 of the newly-reformed Serie C, making 3 appearances. At the end of the season, he was loaned to another Serie C club, A.C.R. Messina. He made 12 appearances for the club.
The following year, Messina signed Berardi to a permanent contract. He played at the club from 2015 to 2017, making a total of 60 Serie C appearances with the club.
During the 2017–2018 season, Berardi was signed by Serie B’s S.S.C. Bari, but he did not play a single game for them.
In late 2018, he was signed back to Serie B’s Hellas Verona F.C. At the end of that season, the club was promoted to Serie A.
