Las Palmas recently lost 1-0 to Real Betis, holding up well against Manuel Pellegrini’s side until halftime. Their opponents were imprecise in their movements, allowing Las Palmas to counter through the center. 

However, the game tilted in Real Betis‘ favor when Las Palmas midfielder Dario Essugo was sent off. Betis soon capitalized, with Diego Llorente scoring shortly after. Afterward, Las Palmas’ attack faded as they focused solely on defending.

Las Palmas had a chance to escape the relegation zone against last-place Real Valladolid, but the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Sandro Ramirez opened the scoring in the 22nd minute for Las Palmas, but Scott McKenna’s red card shortly after halted Las Palmas’ attacking dominance.

Real Valladolid equalized in the second half, as Las Palmas struggled to keep a compact block. Las Palmas coach Diego Martínez later blamed the weather, stating that his players struggled with Valladolid’s temperature difference. 

Las Palmas currently sit 19th in La Liga, firmly in the relegation zone, 2 points behind Alavés (18th) and 3 points behind Leganés (17th). 

Viti and Dario Essugo are suspended, while Andy Pelmard, Benito, Kirian Rodríguez, and Mika Mármol remain sidelined with injuries.

Antonio Blanco and Moussa Diarra are suspended, while Antonio Sivera, Carlos Petxarromán, Hugo Novoa, Jesús Owono, and Tomás Conechny are sidelined with injuries.
