Inter Milan defended their spot as Serie A league leaders after drawing with second-placed Napoli (1-1). However, they played an underwhelming match with little to show for it. They were 1-0 ahead after Federico Dimarco scored in the 22nd minute, but they conceded a late goal. 

This extends the Italian team’s winless streak against top sides, having previously lost against Juventus and drawn with Milan. Inter drew with Napoli in November 2024. Despite that, they’ve only lost three games in Serie A during the 2024-2025 season, registering 58 points. They remain one point ahead of Napoli.

In the Champions League, Inter have been more successful, only losing one match and finishing the group stage in 4th place. On Wednesday night they secured a 2-0 victory against Feyenoord in Rotterdam with goals from Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram. The return is scheduled for March 11.
