Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Germany Preview
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia’s Nation’s League campaign started with a 5-2 bashing from the Netherlands, while the second match saw an uneventful 0-0 draw against Hungary.
The match against Germany is the most difficult and will be followed by facing Hungary three days later. The positive news for Bosnian supporters is that the two October fixtures will be at home.
However, it is unlikely Bosnia will win any of the matches.

It’s probably the worst timing for the hosts, considering that Bosnia and Herzegovina have been the victims of devastating floods in the last weeks, prompting a state of emergency.
On the sporting end, Bosnia haven’t managed to win a single fixture in the last five matches, were absent from EURO2024, and are yet to find a replacement for Miralem Pjanić in the midfield. The team has struggled to find the net, as seen in the 0-0 draw against Hungary.
Bosnia last won against Lichtenstein (2-0) in October 2023. If they manage to break their winless streak, it could provide a much-needed boost and help finish the year on a more positive note.
Germany
Germany has shown significant improvement under the management of Julian Nagelsmann. Initially, there were some doubts about his appointment after his mixed spell at Bayern, but so far, Germany’s partnership with Nagelsmann has exceeded expectations.
Germany secured a confident 5-0 victory against Hungary and earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw against the Netherlands.
🇩🇪🗣️ Joshua Kimmich: “It’s something special to be able to play for Germany. Whether you have 100 international matches or 3, whether you are 34 years old or 19.”
“Speaking generally, not just for Bernd Leno, if someone doesn’t want to be there, then they don’t have to come.” pic.twitter.com/bymeseSqLR

The draw against the Oranje demonstrated Germany’s resilience, aligning with the ambitious standards set by the DFB. Nagelsmann’s side has demonstrated greater flexibility compared to the previous era under Hansi Flick, especially in adapting to stronger opposition.
However, injuries remain a concern for Germany, particularly the absence of Marc-André Ter Stegen, who was set to replace the retired Manuel Neuer.
The other injured players are Kai Havertz (Arsenal), Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich), and David Raum (Hoffenhem). Aleksandr Pavlović is one of the players who was recently included to the squad and could feature against Bosnia.

- Prediction: Germany to win
- Odds: 1.26 (22Bet)
- Score Prediction: Bosnia and Herzegovina 0-4 Germany
Unfortunately for Bosnia, the lack of finishers in the squad will be a problem against Germany. Having scored seven goals in two games, the visitors will come with confidence despite the injuries of key forwards Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala.

Undav has been great for Brighton, while Florian Wirtz’s form with Germany gives Bosnia all reasons to worry about their weak defensive record. Considering that Germany’s high tempo is too much for most teams, Bosnia cannot afford to be as slow as it has recently been – or their fate will be similar to Hungary’s.
Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Germany Betting Tip
- Pick: Florian Wirtz to score
- Odds: 2.5 (22Bet)
It might seem an obvious bet, but the only thing that can stop Wirtz from scoring is himself. Wirtz’s form with Germany speaks for itself, having recently scored against Hungary. He also scored a brace against Feyenoord in the Champions League, while it’s also important to remember that he won the 23/24 Bundesliga with Bayern Leverkusen.
At 21 years of age, he’s still developing, but Bosnia won’t be able to stop him from scoring. In the absence of Musiala and Havertz, he will lead Germany’s attack.
