Imanol Alguacil’s team dominated the tie, conceding only a few chances in the second half. However, the victory came at a price. Nayef Aguerd and Arsen Zakharyan left the pitch injured. Although they shouldn’t be absent for long, they could miss the clash against Barcelona. 

Real Sociedad qualified for the Europa League Round of 16, where they’ll face Manchester United. They defeated Midtjylland 5-2 in the Reale Arena after winning the first leg in Denmark.
