After surrendering the trophy to Leverkusen in the 2023/24 season, Bayern have managed to reclaim the throne under Vincent Kompany. Following the arrival of the Belgian manager, the Rekordmeister finished first in the domestic Championship, seizing their 34th title.
The success can be attributed to the team, but some players deserve more credit than others. Below, I’ve picked five of them that displayed high quality throughout the season.
5. Eric Dier
Some might argue, but for me, Eric Dier played an important role this season in Bayern. Following Kim Min-Jae’s inconsistency and Dayot Upamecano’s injury struggles in the late part of the season, Dier stepped up, and he was solid in the centre of the defence.
I can also remember the goal against Inter in the Champions League. Even though it was not enough to advance, he certainly made an impact in the back. Gradually, under Kompany, he has become a regular starter and made almost no errors, which is why he occupies the fifth place in the list.
4. Joshua Kimmich
What can be said about the club’s talisman and one of Bayern’s leaders, Joshua Kimmich? He has consistently demonstrated strong results and performance throughout the years. Kimmich was an integral part of the team, featuring in 33 Bundesliga matches while scoring three goals and assisting seven times.

Of course, it is not only the stats that fully describe his involvement in every game. His versatility, aggression and playmaking skills opened plenty of opportunities for his teammates. Therefore, I believe he deserves the fourth place.
3. Jamal Musiala
Jamal Musila had a great season, but the injury he picked up in April hampered his participation in the Champions League matches. At 22, Musiala is one of the most talented players in Europe, and his technical abilities are unmatched.
The German midfielder registered 12 goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances this season. He is very confident on the ball and can play well between the lines. This season, he has been in the spotlight, and I expect even more from the youngster next season.
2. Michael Olise
Michael Olise can surely be called Bayern’s best transfer in the 2024/25 season. He was already a star at Crystal Palace. However, after arriving in Munich, Olise has done wonders – especially in the last four matches of the Bundesliga, scoring in each of them.

He finished the Bundesliga with 12 goals and 17 assists, playing in every game. Some compare his style with another Bayern legend, Arjen Robben, and it is difficult to argue. From the right flank, he effectively tricked defenders and scored superb goals. This season, Olise was one of the most effective players not only at Bayern but also in Europe.
1. Harry Kane
And we have reached the ultimate place, and not surprisingly, it is none other than Harry Kane. The English forward joined Bayern to seek trophies, and he finally broke the deadlock, winning the Bundesliga in 2025.
The former Tottenham forward boasts impressive statistics in Germany. In 63 matches in the Bundesliga alone, he has scored 62 goals. As for the Champions League, he stood out with 19 in 25 appearances.

Undoubtedly, he is the player of the season for Bayern, and with the first title secured, he will aim to increase his trophy collection. Kane is only 31, so he still has 3-4 years to play at the highest level.
Honourable Mention
As Thomas Müller leaves Bayern, I could not exclude him from the list. The German player has established a huge legacy in the team alongside Manuel Neuer, and even though they are already in the twilight of their careers, their qualities remain evident.
