That result was largely unexpected, as Dortmund had won their previous three going into that fixture. Union Berlin still sit in a Champions League place at this stage of the campaign, and look to return to winning ways themselves this weekend. They were beaten last weekend by Augsburg, as they lost 2-0 on the road. Union gave away the goals too easily in that defeat, and will be hoping for a more defensively solid performance this weekend.
They have still been in good form over their last five fixtures in the league, as they have won three and drew once. Union has the fifth-best defensive record in the league this term, and will be hopeful of securing a tenth win of the campaign to open up a gap on fifth-place Freiburg.
