Two sides that will be missing at the Africa Cup of Nations in the winter will be looking to build momentum ahead of crucial World Cup qualifiers later in the year. South Africa and Uganda will have the chance to hit some form when they clash in an international friendly this week.

Uganda scored just three goals in the six games that they played, while they did have the joint-best defensive record as they conceded just twice.

These nations have met on just a few occasions in their history. It will be the sixth time that they have faced off, with South Africa having won on three occasions. Their most recent win came in June 2019, as they won a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw.
