The official website of Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod announced the signing of American striker Justin Kloos.
The 26-year-old forward spent last season in the Anaheim Ducks farm system. Kloos played 53 matches for the Ducks affiliate San Diego Gulls in the American Hockey League. There he chalked up 30 (11 + 19) points with a plus-minus rating of +10 and 34 minutes of the penalty time. In total, in his 197 games for Iowa and San Diego in the AHL, the Justin Kloos earned 126 (49 + 77) points.
During his career in North America, Kloos only played two matches in the National Hockey League, and his brief stint was not marked by effective actions. The American striker played one game as part of the Anaheim Ducks and one as part of the Minnesota Wild.
During his time in San Diego, Kloos played with another Torpedo rookie, Chris Wideman.
