Japan’s success on the football stage over the past year or so has been one of the biggest stories. However, they will be looking to maintain their charge by recording a friendly victory on Tuesday morning when they take on Colombia.

Colombia comes into this international having gone four without defeat. However, each of their last two matches has ended in draws. The most recent of those came against South Korea last week. But, it was an excellent response by Colombia, as they battled back from 2-0 down to snatch a point. James Rodriguez scored the nation’s opening goal, before Jorge Carrascal levelled the scores in the 49th minute.

Colombia has won three of the previous five international matches between these sides. The most recent win for the South American nation was a 1-0 success in the Kirin Challenge Cup in 2019. Japan’s only previous win against Colombia came at the 2018 World Cup.
