Fulham vs Ipswich Town Preview
Fulham
Fulham will have no excuses to fall back on when they face off against Ipswich Town in the 20th round of the ongoing Premier League at home. They know they’ll have to attack from the first minute and cannot afford to sit back on their laurels.
They are in eighth place, with 29 points, and seem all but certain to compete in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season. They’ve also been unbeaten in their last five games.

However, Marco Silva’s men have a tendency to drop points from seemingly invincible positions. It’s against such complacency that they’ll have to guard themselves in this game.
Ipswich’s attackers will try to use the space on the wings in order to play short passes and direct dangerous crosses into the box. Fulham’s defenders need to stay true to their zonal marking system and not lose their shape.
Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town, promoted into the Premier League this season, have found the process rather challenging so far. They rank 18th in the table with just 15 points in their kitty. If their showings don’t improve, Kieran McKenna’s men can be sure of dropping back into the Championship and grinding their way back to the top flight for another year. They have won just two out of their last five matches.

Striker Delap has been one of the standout performers for Ipswich this season, scoring seven goals and two assists so far. He’ll hope to get on the scoresheet in this game and challenge the Fulham defenders.
Wingers Burn and Broadhead must make use of the pace they have in their armoury to create some disturbance amid the Fulham fullbacks. The home team’s captain, Antonee Robinson, will watch and mark them closely.
Bet hereFulham vs Ipswich Town Prediction
- Pick: Fulham to win or draw
- Odds: 1.171 (22Bet)
- Score prediction: Fulham 2-1 Ipswich Town
Fulham appear to be the favourites in Sunday’s game, and we expect them to either win the encounter or end it in a draw. Silva likes his team to play a 3-4-3 formation, in which attackers Iwobi, Jiménez and Wilson get a free hand. Iwobi has the ability to draw in opposition fullbacks while making a run.
This, in turn, allows the Nigeria international to feed balls into Jiménez in the centre-forward’s position.
Ipswich Town will have to make sure that they do not lose their structure whenever Fulham’s attackers make dangerous runs into the final third. They’ve won or drawn eight out of the 11 matches between these two teams in the past, and the odds are stacked in their favour.
Fulham vs Ipswich Town Prediction, Betting Tip
- Pick: Total over 2 goals
- Odds: 1.34 (22Bet)
We expect to see a total of over 2 goals to be scored in this game. For Fulham, the likes of Iwobi, Jiménez, and Wilson will be keen on breaking into the Ipswich defence. Andreas Pereira and Emile Smith Rowe also want to create chances for their team; however, injuries to Tete and Neilson will hamper the home side somewhat.
Ipswich also have a host of injuries on their team, including their star centre-back Axel Tuanzebe. This means they’ll have to be careful on the defensive against their rivals. As a result, we anticipate Fulham will coast comfortably in this game. The home team will be expected to contribute heavily to the total over 2 goals prediction.
