Real Madrid have started the season in good form as they look to successfully defend their La Liga title. But, will they be able to pick up another three points this weekend?
La Liga Preview
It has been a strange week for Zinedine Zidane and his team, as they will be deflated again after being held in the Champions League by Borussia Monchengladbach. The team should have been full of confidence going into that fixture, as they had beat Barcelona 3-1 in the first El Clasico of the season. That was the best performance of the season so far from Real Madrid, as Federico Valverde, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric scored the goals in the win for Zidane’s side.
However, they were brought back down to earth with a thump against Monchengladbach in the Champions League, as they trailed 2-0 after an hour. It was an underwhelming performance from the Spanish champions, but they were able to rescue a point in the closing stages after Casmeiro levelled the scores. Karim Benzema pulled one back after 87 minutes, but Zidane would have been aware that his side got away with one against the Germans.
It has been a difficult start for Huesca in La Liga, as they currently find themselves in the relegation places having failed to win any of their opening seven games this season. They are one of just two teams that haven’t won in La Liga this season, but they will take confidence from the fact that they have been difficult to beat. Huesca have lost just twice in the league this season, with the majority of their games ending in draws. They will come into this fixture against the league leaders having being beaten in their last game against Real Sociedad.
Real Madrid vs Huesca Head To Head
This will be the third time that Real Madrid and Huesca have played against each other, with Real Madrid having won both previous fixtures. The last meeting between the sides came in March 2019, as Madrid ran out 3-2 winners.
Real Madrid vs Huesca Prediction
The aim for Madrid will be to regain their league title this season, and they will have an excellent chance to do that after the slow start that Barcelona have endured. They will continue to build on their lead this weekend by picking up another three points against Huesca.
