Colorado Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen will miss about a month due to an injury to his lower body. The 22-year-old Finn suffered a leg injury in the second period of the NHL regular season match against St. Louis (1: 3), the league’s official website reports.
Rantanen is playing with centre Nathan MacKinnon for the Avalanche lead with 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in nine games.
“He is one of the best players in the NHL,” MacKinnon stated. “When you lose one of the best players in the NHL, it’s tough.”
