Meanwhile, Everton will be looking to respond after a recent home defeat, as they look to record a quickfire double over the Gunners. [banner][/banner]

Premier League Preview

It has been an excellent response by Mikel Arteta’s side in recent weeks, as they have bounced back from going three games without defeat by winning each of their previous two. It would have certainly aided their confidence that both victories were picked up on the road, including last Saturday’s 1-0 win at the King Power Stadium against Leicester City.  Victory on Wednesday at the Emirates would open up a five-point lead over Manchester City, meaning that the title would be in their hands with 13 games left to play. However, their recent home form would be a concern for Arteta, as the Gunners have picked up just a single victory from their previous four matches at the Emirates. Meanwhile, they have kept just two clean sheets from their last 16 at home.  Everton picked up a 1-0 win in the reverse fixtures between these sides last month, which came in Sean Dyche’s first game in charge. However, the Toffees remain in the bottom three places in the Premier League standings. Their 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa over the weekend highlighted exactly where they are short on quality, as they failed to score despite creating a number of clear openings.  However, this fixture does present an opportunity for Everton to move out of the bottom three, as they are just one point shy of Leeds at present. But, they will need to take any chances that they create at the Emirates if they are to have any chance.

Arsenal vs Everton Head to Head

Everton has won four of their last five league fixtures against Arsenal, which includes their 1-0 win at Goodison last month. However, away from home against the Gunners, it has been a different story, as they have landed just one victory from 26 attempts.

Arsenal vs Everton Prediction

Arsenal’s home record in this fixture is exceptionally strong, and we struggle to see Everton creating too many chances on the road against the Gunners. It should be a straightforward evening for Arteta’s side, and we see them landing a 3-0 win to move clear at the top of the standings. Make sure to bet on Arsenal vs Everton with 22Bet!" Liverpool returns to action on Wednesday, as they play one of their two games in hand in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp’s side will desperately need maximum points to keep their feint hopes of a Champions League finish alive, while Wolves need a victory of move clear of the bottom three.

Premier League Preview

Liverpool finally looked back on track after recording back-to-back victories against Everton and Newcastle. However, they were extremely disappointing in their bid to register a third straight win, as they couldn’t find a way through against Crystal Palace. That 0-0 stalemate leaves the Reds nine points off the top four, but they could close to within three of Tottenham Hotspur with victories in both of their games in hand.

Liverpool was extremely underwhelming in that stalemate, as they appeared to lack quality in the final third of the field to seize advantage. The closest that they came was through Mohamed Salah, who struck the cross-bar, before Cody Gakpo missed a one-on-one after being put through by the Egyptian.

The pressure will be back on Wolves this week, as they remain just three points clear of the bottom three places in the Premier League standings. They have now gone two without a victory in the league, but positives would have been taken from their battling performance against Fulham on the road last week.

Wolves took the lead through Pablo Sarabia in that match in London, but they allowed Fulham to equalise in the final half an hour. The Midlands side is also likely to come into this fixture in good confidence, as they picked up a 3-0 win over Liverpool last month. However, they scored as many goals in that victory as they had in their previous eleven clashes against the Reds combined.

Liverpool vs Wolves Head to Head

Liverpool has picked up 18 wins from their previous 20 matches against Wolves at Anfield. Their only defeats in that time were suffered in 1984 and 2010. The 3-0 win recorded by Wolves last month ended an 11-game losing run against the Reds in the Premier League.

Liverpool vs Wolves Prediction

This will be a huge fixture for Liverpool in their quest for a Champions League finish this term. It isn’t likely to be the most entertaining of performances, but we fully expect the Reds to pick up a 2-0 win against Wolves.
