Sevilla 3 – 2 Osasuna
Sevilla beat Osasuna in a dramatic clash that saw the hosts play against ten men for over half an hour. Youssef En-Nesyri scored a brace for Sevilla, opening up the scoresheet in minute 13 followed by Lucas Ocampos, who made it two up just before the break.
Despite Sergio Herrera’s sending off in the second half, Osasuna put up a fight and scored two goals in minutes 64 and 74, to reach a 2-2 draw. The game looked all but finished, but in the last seconds of play, En-Nesyri netted Jules Kounde’s header to secure the three points for Sevilla.
They are now third on the table with 46 points, whilst Osasuna are 12th with 31. Sevilla will face Atletico Madrid away next weekend in a crunch clash that is effectively like a final for both teams.

Espanyol 1 – 1 Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid missed out on a chance to clinch a top-four spot in La Liga after being held by Espanyol in a one-all draw. The hosts opened the scoring after 24 minutes when Raul de Tomas’ strike was turned into his own net by the unfortunate Stefan Savic. Espanyol could have doubled their lead soon after, with Victor Sanchez attempting a long-range howler that hit the crossbar.
Diego Simeone’s men returned from the break with a renewed energy and took control of the game when just two minutes in Saul Niguez struck an absolute stunner past Diego Lopez. Atleti could not complete a full comeback and it wasn’t for lack of trying; Espanyol claimed a crucial point in their fight against relegation while Atletico Madrid earned themselves the fifth place.
Atleti host Sevilla next weekend without the help of club star Thomas Partey, who was shown another yellow for a foul against Espanyol this Sunday. How much will they miss him?

Getafe follow Sevilla closely in fourth place after winning 0-1 in Mallorca, whilst Atleti are only one point ahead of sixth-place Real Sociedad, who in turn happened to win against Real Valladolid by one goal to none on Friday.

Valencia beat Betis 2-1 and are still alive in the race for a European spot as they sit seventh with 41 points. At the bottom, Celta is three points clear of Mallorca in the relegation zone, and for the first time this season, there’s a distinct gap between those in the bottom three and the rest.
