Former Dynamo Minsk forward Charles Linglet said his former teammates Matt Ellison and Ryan Vesce had completed their playing careers. All also played for the Zagreb Medvescak and the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo and was remembered by KHL fans as one of the most successful.
“I was in Minsk for the first time in 2011, but I didn’t like playing under the direction of Kari Heikkila and Alexander Andrievsky. Actually, I planned to stay in Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, where we had a good connection with Matt Ellison and Ryan Vesce. It seems that they were going to extend the contract with me, but there the leadership changed, and they refused me. This was a blow, but Minsk was a backup option, and there I initially experienced problems with adaptation.”
“Ellison and Vesce have already finished their playing careers. Matt, in Canada, works as a hockey coach at school. Ryan settled in Florida. He works in a clinic that treats people with physical disabilities, “says Linglet Tut.
Matt Ellison is in the top 10 most successful hockey players in the history of the KHL. In total, in regular league seasons, he spent 539 matches and gained 434 (179 + 255) points. In 55 playoff games, he recorded 24 (14 + 10) points in his asset.
Vesce played 243 matches in the KHL, including the playoffs, and earned 177 (82 + 95) points.
