However, their most recent effort to reach the major tournament was considerably their best, as they recorded three wins, which was the most that they have managed in any single qualification campaign since competing as an individual country.
They should also come into qualifying in good confidence, as they enjoyed an excellent run in the Nations League last year to gain promotion to Division B. Kazakhstan picked up four wins from the six matches that they played, and they suffered just a single defeat.
