It has been a strange start to the season for Inter Milan, as they are yet to find any rhythm in their results in Serie A. However, they will be hoping to build momentum with a win this weekend against Parma.

Inter Milan will come into this fixture against Parma having won three of their five games in Serie A this season. They already find themselves three points behind their Milan rivals, who are at the top of the league at present. Inter haven’t been in the best form over their last three matches, as they have won just once.
That victory came in their last league outing against Genoa, as they won 2-0. The goals in that game were scored by Romelu Lukaku and Danilo D’Ambrosio. However, their confidence would have been dealt a blow in their last fixture, as they were unable to get a first win in the Champions League this season as they were held away from home by Shakhtar Donetsk. Inter were the side doing much of the pushing, but they couldn’t find a way through the resilient hosts.
Parma also haven’t been able to find momentum in their play so far this season, as they have won once in five league outings. They have lost on three occasions, and have already conceded eleven goals in Serie A. They haven’t won in two in the league, but they were able to recover from defeat against Udinese by picking up a 2-2 draw against Spezia in their last league game. Ricardo Gagliolo scored the first goal for Parma in that draw, before Juraj Kucka scored a late equaliser to save a point for Parma. Their confidence would have also risen after a Coppa Italia success against Pescara in mid-week.

Inter have won two of the previous three fixtures against Parma, with the most recent of those coming in the form of a 2-1 success back in June. Parma’s last win against Inter came back in September 2018, as they won 1-0 at the San Siro.
