Everton host Tottenham at Goodison Park on Sunday as the Toffees look to bounce back from a tough start to the season.
Everton have won just three times in the league this year and are currently 16th in the table.
Spurs have been equally underwhelming so far this year and sit in a disappointing 11th place.
Expectations were raised over the summer after Spurs made their first appearance in a Champions League final and invested heavily in their squad, but results have been hard to come by so far this season.
Team news
Both Bernard and Yerry Mina are potential absentees for Everton after picking up injury problems while Cenk Tosun is also out.
Meanwhile, summer signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin has a long term injury problem and is unlikely to return until the new year.
Spurs club captain Hugo Lloris remains out after suffering an elbow injury that could keep him out for the rest of the season. Erik Lamela and Ryan Sessegnon are also out with, while Danny Rose is suspended.
Everton vs Tottenham Prediction
It has been something of a nightmare start to the 2019-20 Premier League season for these two ambitious clubs.
Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino has come under pressure early on, with a 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich the worst moment of their season so far.
Everton coach Marco Silva has also faced criticism and Everton have only managed one point away from home in the Premier League this season.
Their form at home hasn’t been too bad, but Silva will need to see a dramatic improvement away from Goodison Park if he is going to survive much longer.
In this match in particular, Spurs should go in as slight favourites, having secured an impressive 6-2 win in this fixture last season.
Prediction: With Pochettino’s side showing improvement in recent weeks, they’re more likely to run out as 2-1 winners.
