It was an excellent fighting display by the Toffees in that game, but they were able to claim the win in the end, as Michael Keane scored the winner ten minutes from time. Alex Iwobi had opened the scoring after six minutes in the Black Country, but Ruben Neves did level the scores less than ten minutes later. Everton will be playing before a lot of sides around them this weekend, and could move up to second in the league table with a win in the West Midlands.

Villa have done well against Everton in the games that they have played against the Toffees since returning to the top-flight. They won the game played at Villa Park last season 2-0, before claiming a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park in the reverse fixture.
