They currently sit 14th in the standings, but they could edge closer toward the top half of the standings with a rare victory on the road at the San Siro.
Empoli ended a four-game wait for a victory in their previous match, as they registered a fine 1-0 home win over Lecce. The only goal in the game was netted just after the hour mark, as Francesco Caputo smashed home his penalty. However, Empoli will be without Lorenzo Tonelli on Friday evening.

AC Milan has an excellent recent record in this fixture, as they have picked up victories in each of their previous four matches against Empoli. The latest of those was a 3-1 success in October. Empoli’s last win against Milan was secured at the San Siro in April 2017.
