Who are the top favourites to win the 24/25 La Liga title?

The 2024/25 LaLiga season kicks off on Thursday, August 15, with Athletic de Bilbao hosting Getafe at San Mames. Last season, Real Madrid won the title, finishing 10 points ahead of Barcelona, and also secured the Champions League trophy against Borussia Dortmund

As the new season begins, the question arises: Will Real Madrid display such dominance again? Or will other teams like Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, or Girona challenge Los Blancos and keep them from the title? Our 22Bet team will explore these and other pressing questions.

Who will win the 24/25 La Liga title?

Breaking Real Madrid’s hegemony sounds like a difficult task for the entirety of La Liga. ‘Los Blancos’ don’t seem to be keen on relinquishing their title, especially after bolstering their squad with the high-profile signings of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick

Adding these talents to an already formidable frontline of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Jr is a terrifying prospect for Spain’s top teams. Mbappé has been Florentino Pérez’s wet dream for the past five years, and his arrival only comes one year after the arrival of English superstar Jude Bellingham

The summer transfer window was also marked by the surprising exit of Espanyol-loaned striker Joselu, who was offered a contract by the club.  However, against all expectations, the Spaniard refused the offer, reportedly due to concerns over playing time following Endrick’s arrival.

While Real Madrid enters the season as clear favorites, Barcelona’s activity in the transfer market shouldn’t be overlooked. The Catalans signed Leipzig’s offensive creator Dani Olmo – a La Masia graduate returning home.

His fitness and ability to gel with Pedri remain unclear, but that will be something Hansi Flick will have to navigate. Barcelona won the pre-season Clásico against Real Madrid, which already marked a clear change in philosophy under the German coach.

Whether Barcelona can keep doing so throughout the season remains an unanswered question. It’s unlikely they will pose a serious threat to Real Madrid’s title defense, but they shouldn’t be underestimated.

Atlético Madrid is the other perennial contender and the most active during the summer transfer window. With the acquisition of Julian Álvarez, the return of Samu Omorodion, and the arrival of Robin Le Normand, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about ‘Los Rojiblancos’.

However, even with these additions, it would be hard to see anyone dethroning Real Madrid’s side featuring the likes of Mbappé, Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr.

It should however be mentioned that the exits of Nacho and Toni Kroos mark the end of an era, particularly when it comes to Kroos, who leaves a significant gap in midfield. If Carlo can come up with something to replace the German’s output, nothing will stop Madrid. But if they don’t, Barcelona and Atlético could find to capitalize and challenge for the title.

Who Will Win the Pichichi Trophy (Top Scorer) in La Liga 24/25?

Determining who would win is a difficult task, but the safest bet and my own choice would be to bet on Kylian Mbappé. Artem Dovbyk is likely to remain an option, and I would keep an eye on Samu Omorodion.

The safest bet remains with Mbappé, who enters a stacked team and whose pace will be a problem for the entirety of the league in the 24/25 campaign.

Who Will Be the Best Player of the 24/25 La Liga Season?

Predicting the best player is never easy given how competitive La Liga has become. Nonetheless, I would be surprised if Bellingham were to win it again – possibly an unpopular opinion.

I believe that betting on Gavi is a safe option. He might be injured until October, but his profile sounds like a safe bet to bet on under the guidance of Hansi Flick.

The Spaniard has always been a pressing machine, and with Fermín López pushing him further, it would be unsurprising to see Gavi’s dynamics and box presence becoming a major asset for Barcelona’s path to the goal.

If anything, he’s the most exciting player for Barcelona ahead of the season.

Who will win the 24/25 La Liga title?

Real Madrid’s dominance across Europe last term was clear for all to see after winning the Champions League just weeks after reclaiming the La Liga title. Los Blancos will be incredibly hard to overlook in the betting to retain the honour this term, with the eye-catching arrival of Kylian Mbappe setting tongues wagging.

The Frenchman looks set to form a formidable forward line with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo, with Jude Bellingham likely to be deployed in the number ten role.

Stopping their strong attacking players will be a major issue for all Spanish sides this term, while scoring against Real will also be no easy feat, as Carlos Ancelotti’s side conceded just 26 goals last term. At both ends of the field, Real are superior to every team in Spain.

Atletico Madrid could be an interesting contender, and they are preferred to finish as the runners-up if they can get the deal for Julian Alvarez over the line. Another challenging season looks to await Barcelona, with Hansi Flick having to operate with his hands tied due to financial issues at the club.

Who Will Win the Pichichi Trophy (Top Scorer) in La Liga 24/25?

Kylian Mbappe will be a hot pick to win the Pichichi Trophy this season, but the Frenchman may need some time to adjust to life in Spain, meaning that I’m not tempted to take the odds-on price for the World Cup winner.

Instead, Robert Lewandowski could be preferred to get his Barcelona career back on track under a manager in the form of Hansi Flick, whom he has experienced huge success with in the past.

Who Will Be the Best Player of the 24/25 La Liga Season?

Lamine Yamal introduced himself to the world at the EUROs this summer, and the 17-year-old’s progression looks set to continue in La Liga in 2024-25. The winger registered one goal and four assists for Spain at the EUROs, and he should have a strong chance of eclipsing his tally of ten goal involvements in La Liga last term.

Julian Alvarez is a player that I am also looking forward to seeing at Atletico, if the moves goes through.

Who will win the 24/25 La Liga title?

Real Madrid and Barcelona are the odds-on favorites to be in the running for the La Liga title. Carlo Ancelotti and Hansi Flick have strengthened their respective squads in readiness for the long season. However, surprise packages are also vying to disrupt the duopoly, including Atletico Madrid and last season’s surprise side Girona.

Los Blancos under Carlo Ancelotti have been on the ascendance and have set the pace in La Liga. They added their long-term target, Kylian Mbappe, to their already formidable side, which won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in the previous campaign. 17-year-old Brazilian Endrick is also finally joining up with Ancelotti’s side for the new season.

Barcelona have swapped Xavi Hernandez for Hansi Flick for the new season as they look to rejig the side that come up short in their fight against Real Madrid.

Navigating their financial challenges, Barcelona have managed to bring in marquee signing Dani Olmo, who starred for Spain at the Euros on their way to conquering Europe in the Germany-staged tournament.

However, Hansi Flick will need to corral together a squad and team to fly right off the gates and ensure they have the consistency they need to keep pace with Real Madrid in the race for La Liga. This might not happen in his first season, making La Liga Real Madrid’s to lose.

Real Madrid have the quality, firepower, and experience to go all the way and defend their La Liga title.

Who Will Win the Pichichi Trophy (Top Scorer) in La Liga 24/25?

Girona’s Ukrainian Artem Dovbyk led the scoring charts in La Liga last season with 24 goals and won the Pichichi gong. Dovbyk has since left La Liga, leaving the top scorer berth wide open once again. Villareal’s Sorloth (24 goals), Barcelona’s Lewandowski (19 goals), Real Madrid’s Bellingham (19 goals), and Osasuna’s Budimir (17 goals) rounded up the top five top scorers in La Liga in the 2023/2024 season.

New entrants into La Liga, like Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, are expected to be amongst the goals this season as the race for the Pichichi heats up. The top three contenders for the top scorer trophy include Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski, and Julian Alvarez (If he completes his move to Atletico Madrid).

It will be a close one between Robert Lewandowski and Kylian Mbappe. However, given the current dominance of Real Madrid domestically in Europe and the pedigree that Mbappe has shown, the Frenchman is expected to come out on top and pinch the Pichichi in the 2024/2025 season.

Who Will Be the Best Player of the 24/25 La Liga Season?

Jude Bellingham had a barnstorming season after his move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid. He is likely to face competition from his fellow Madrististas, like Vinicius Jr., and new entrants, like Kylian Mbappe.

Outside of the Santiago Bernabeu, Barcelona’s Yamine Lamal, whose five goals and eight assists in 37 appearances earned him the best U23 player last season, is among the contenders for best players.

Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, whether he moves to Barcelona or stays at the Basque club, will be among the top players with a significant impact in the new season.

Other contenders are likely to include new signings Dani Olmo, Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona, and Antoine Greizman of Atletico Madrid.

The fight is likely to come down between Bellingham (in his second season), Kylian Mbappe (in his first season), and Barcelona’s Yamine Lamal (stepping up from an U23 prospect). The eventual winner will depend on the performance of their sides in La Liga and in Europe.

In this regard, Kylian Mbappe is likely to end up the best player in La Liga, if, as expected, he takes La Liga by storm and fires Los Blancos to more honors in the new season.

Who will win the 24/25 La Liga title?

Real Madrid have added Kylian Mbappe and their chances to get another title increased significantly. Under Carlo Ancelotti, Los Blancos are dominant and they are likely to win another trophy in a row.

Who Will Win the Pichichi Trophy (Top Scorer) in La Liga 24/25?

Robert Lewandowski has demonstrated his prowess as a goalscoring machine during the past seasons. However, as Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid, the French striker will be a main threat to La Liga teams. He is likely to claim the Pichichi Trophy eventually.

Who Will Be the Best Player of the 24/25 La Liga Season?

After joining Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham surprised everyone. While his talent was well recognized during his time at Birmingham and Dortmund, no one had expected that his impact would be so phenomenal for Los Blancos.

If he remains injury-free, Jude will be the main candidate for the best player in La Liga this season. His ability to rise to the occasion and deliver in crucial moments has already proven his immense value to Real Madrid.

Who will win the 24/25 La Liga title?

Real Madrid is undoubtedly the top contender for the league title simply because they have more world-class players than their competitors. In tactical terms, Madrid is the most unpredictable team, making it extremely difficult for opponents to adapt.

Who Will Win the Pichichi Trophy (Top Scorer) in La Liga 24/25?

Under the guidance of new coach Hans-Dieter Flick, Robert Lewandowski could see a notable increase in his goal tally compared to last season, when he scored 19 goals in La Liga.

The previous Barcelona coach, Xavi, often utilized Lewandowski, focusing on creating space for the wingers. However, Flick is capable of altering the role of the Polish striker and providing more tactical opportunities to find the back of the net.

Who Will Be the Best Player of the 24/25 La Liga Season?

Jude Bellingham is one of the best players in world football, despite being only 21 years old. In the upcoming season, only fatigue and injuries can prevent him from once again demonstrating top-class football.
