Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid all made statement signings this summer, headlined by a club-record move in the Spanish capital.

Yan Diomande: RB Leipzig to Real Madrid — €140m (€125m fixed + €15m)

Morten Hjulmand: Sporting CP to Atlético Madrid — €45m (€40m + up to €5m)

Atletico Madrid secured Sporting's captain Morten Hjulmand to bolster Diego Simeone's midfield. The deal is a fixed €40m, with a further €5m in performance-related add-ons. Hjulmand made 141 appearances for Sporting, winning two league titles and a domestic cup. He has signed a contract running until June 2031.

Cristian Romero: Tottenham to Atletico Madrid — €40m (€35m + €5m)

Atletico Madrid finally landed long-term target Cristian Romero after years of interest in the Tottenham captain.
