Alejandro Garnacho shouldn't expect a fresh start at Chelsea under new head coach Xabi Alonso, who has made clear he wouldn't stand in the way of a move for the winger.

The Argentine joined from Manchester United last summer in a big-money deal and signed a seven-year contract, but reports emerged last week suggesting the club is already looking to move him on. Garnacho was left out of training, and Chelsea are reportedly hoping to find a buyer.

Speaking at his first press conference on Monday, Alonso confirmed Garnacho doesn't feature in his plans going forward. He said he'd discussed the situation with the club's leadership, noted there's interest from other clubs, and said he hopes things work out well for everyone involved. English media suggest Chelsea would want around €50 million for the 21-year-old.

Fellow Argentine Enzo Fernández also came up during the press conference. The midfielder was the subject of transfer speculation last season, reportedly eyeing a move to Real Madrid, and was dropped from the squad in April after going public about his interest in leaving. Alonso confirmed he's spoken with Fernández but kept the details private, while indicating he'd like to keep the player at the club. He struck a similar tone on Nicolas Jackson, who returns this summer after a loan spell at Bayern Munich, saying he's looking forward to working with him.
