Luton have landed just a single Premier League victory this term, but they have been unable to build on that win against Everton after losing three of their previous four matches in the competition. This will be the first meeting between the sides since Liverpool landed a 5-0 win in 2008. Meanwhile, it will be a first league clash between the sides since January 1992. Liverpool have gone five without defeat against the Hatters, with Luton’s most recent win against the Reds coming in a 3-1 success in February 1991.
It looks extremely challenging to make a case for Luton this weekend, as Liverpool have shown excellent form across the opening months of the season. We expect the Reds to run out easy winners at Kenilworth Road, by winning by at least a two-goal margin.
