Juventus come into this fixture having failed to win in their previous two matches. They were at least able to bounce back from a 5-1 loss against Napoli last weekend, as they played out an absorbing 3-3 draw with Napoli. But, it is slightly concerning that they have now allowed eight goals in their previous two fixtures in Serie A.

Monza will be the visitors to Turin this weekend, and they look primed to inflict more misery on the prestigious hosts. The Italian club currently sits 13th in the overall standings, but a victory on Sunday could lift them above Juventus into the top half of the standings. Few would bet against it based on the fact that Monza have gone five games without defeat in Serie A. 

Over that run, they have picked up two wins, with their draw last weekend being their third tie in that period of five fixtures. Monza would have likely been disappointed to have only picked up a point as they dominated for long periods against Sassuolo. However, Gianluca Caprari’s goal was enough to save a point with half an hour remaining.

This is only the third competitive meeting between these two sides in the past ten years. Juventus claimed victory in the Coppa Italia meeting between the sides last week, landing a 2-1 win. However, Monza won the first meeting between the sides in Serie A back in September.

This will be another tricky fixture for the Old Lady on Sunday. Monza’s unbeaten record deserves respect coming into the fixture, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see them take something from the game. The preference is for a score draw.
