Germany vs Israel Prediction: International Friendly Match on 26.03.2022

For teams that have already assured their spot at the World Cup later in the year, this latest break will be to fine tune their squads ahead of the tournament in November. Germany will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing EURO 2020 campaign, and their first warm up game comes against Israel.

International Friendly Preview

Germany will be looking to step up their preparations ahead of the World Cup later this year when they take on Israel this weekend. There wasn’t any denying that Germany was the standout team in Group J of qualification, as they eased through the round by finishing top of their group with 27 points.

That finish saw them conclude the group nine clear of North Macedonia, who finished in second. There were no shortage of high points throughout qualification for the Germans, as they scored an incredible 36 goals and conceded just four times in the ten games that they played.

However, there were signs that things still aren’t perfect, as they were shockingly beaten in Germany by North Macedonia. Hansi Flick will be hoping that his side can maintain their recent run, as they have won their previous three and have scored 17 goals in the process.

It was another disappointing qualification campaign for Israel, as they failed to reach the World Cup finals. The national side has only reached the finals of the major tournament on one previous occasion, with that success coming in 1970. In their most recent campaign, they finished third in Group F, seven points behind second-placed Scotland.

Israel won five of their ten games, but suffered four defeats. They scored 23 goals, which was the second-highest tally in Group F, but allowed 21 goals. They will need to improve defensively ahead of the qualifying for the European Championships.

Germany vs Israel Head to Head

There have been four previous meetings between these national sides, with Germany picking up wins on all occasions. The latest meeting came in May 2012, and Germany routinely won 2-0. Israel have scored just one goal against Germany, but that came in a 7-1 defeat in February 2002.

Germany vs Israel Prediction

This should be a fairly routine fixture for Germany on their way to the World Cup finals later in the year. The Germans should claim a comfortable victory, and it could be by a 4-0 scoreline.
