The Stade Pierre-Mauroy is a multi-use (Arena), retractable roof stadium (50,186 seats) in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, Lille (European Metropolis of Lille), Hauts-de-France; that opened in August 2012. It is located in the Hôtel de Ville quarter of Villeneuve d’Ascq and is the home stadium of LOSC Lille. Initially named Grand Stade Lille Métropole, the stadium was renamed on 21 June 2013, just after the death of the former Mayor of Lille and former Prime Minister of France Pierre Mauroy.
