Tranmere Rovers (2008-2011)
A product of the Tranmere Rovers youth system, Aaron Cresswell signed a professional contract with the club in July 2008. In November of the same year, he played his first League One (3rd tier) match for the club.
Between 2008 and 2011, he played a total of 70 League One matches for the club and scored 5 goals. Thanks to his stellar performance, he gained the interest of several Championship (2nd tier) clubs.
Ipswich Town (2011-2014)
On July 1, 2011, Championship’s Ipswich Town paid the Rovers a transfer fee of €275,000 for the rights to Cresswell. He played his first game for the club on August 6, 2011. He would go on to make a total of 132 appearances for the club and score 6 goals.
Thanks to his stellar performance, he was named Ipswich Town Player of the Year and began to garner interest from several Premier League clubs.
West Ham United (2014-now)
On July 3, 2014, West Ham United paid Ipswich Town a transfer fee of €4,750,000 for Cresswell. He made his Premier League debut for West Ham on August 16, 2014. He quickly became a regular and reliable starter for the club.
In 2015, he was named WHU Hammer of the Year and WHU Player’s Player of the Year.
Cresswell played a total of three games for the English national men’s team, one in 2016 and two in 2017.
