Pau FC (2003-04)
Aurélien Chedjou started his professional career in 2003 by signing with Pau FC of the Championnat National (3rd tier of French football). In his two years with the club, he made a total of 2 appearances.
In 2004, he signed with Ligue 1’s Auxerre. In his years with the team, he made a total of 4 appearances.
FC Rouen 1899 (2006-07)
In 2006, Chedjou signed with Rouen of the Championnat National 2 (4th tier of French club football). He made 10 appearances for the club and scored one goal.
In 2007, he joined Ligue 1’s Lille.
He had 154 domestic appearances for the club, helping them win a Ligue 1 title and the 2011 French Cup.
During this time, his market value soared to €12 million.
In 2013, Turkish football powerhouse Galatasaray paid Lille a €6.3 million transfer fee for Chedjou. From 2013 to 2017, Chedjou made a total of 81 domestic appearances for the club.
In his time with the club, Chedjou helped Galatasaray win the Turkish Championship, three Turkish Cups, and three Turkish Super Cups.
Istanbul Başakşehir (2017-19)
In 2017, he signed with Istanbul Başakşehir. The next year, Başakşehir loaned him to Bursaspor.
Amiens SC (2019-now)
In 2019, Amiens of Ligue 1 bought his contract from Istanbul Başakşehir by paying a transfer fee of €200,000. The club was demoted to Ligue 2 following the 2019-2020 season.
During his career, Aurélien Chedjou played a total of 47 games for the Cameroon national men’s team.
In 2013, he scored his only goal for the squad, helping his team beat Libya 1-0 during the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
