Newcastle United (2006-2011)
A product of the Newcastle United youth academy, Carroll was signed by the club to a professional contract in 2006. In 2017, Newcastle loaned Carroll to Preston North End of the EFL Championship. After returning from North End, he established himself as a regular starter at both the EFL Championship and Premier League levels.
He helped the team win the Football League Championship in 2009-10, win the Football League Cup in 2011-12, and reach the FA Cup finals in 2011-12.
In 2011, Carroll was signed by Liverpool for a fee of £35,000,000, setting a record for most money paid for an English player. He scored his first two goals for Liverpool in an April 2011 against Manchester City. In 2012, Liverpool loaned out Carroll to West Ham United for £2,000,000.
West Ham United (2013-2019)
West Ham management liked having Carroll on the team and paid £15,000,000 to buy him from Liverpool. During his time with West Ham United, he made a total of 126 appearances and scored 33 goals.
Newcastle United (2019-)
In August 2019, Carroll re-signed with Newcastle United.
Andy Carroll appeared in a total of 9 games for the national men’s team. In 2012, he represented England at UEFA Euro 2012.

During his career, Carroll often found himself having trouble with drinking and anger management.
In December 2009, Carroll was arrested for participating in a fight in a nightclub. He was charged with assault and fine 1,000 pounds.
In March 2010, Carroll had a physical altercation with Netcastle teammate Steven Taylor. In October of that year, he was charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
