Youth Career

Antonio Barecca was born in Torino, Italy. He played his entire youth career in the Torino club system. In his last year of play, Barecca led the club’s under-19 to the Campionato Primavera finals.

Torino (2014-2018)

In 2014, Barecca was signed to a senior pro contract by Torino. In 2014, his first year of professional play, Torino sent him on loan to Serie B club Cittadella. The following year, he was loaned to another Serie B club, Cagliari.

Monaco (2018-)

In 2016, Barecca made his Serie A debut for Torino. The same year, the Unione Stampa Sportiva Italiana awarded him the title of Best Young Player of the Year.

In 2018, Torino sold Barecca’s rights to French Ligue 1’s club Monaco. The following year, he was loaned to Premier League’s Newcastle United. Half a year later, he was loaned to Serie A’s Genoa.

Antonio Barecca made a total of 24 appearances for Italy’s junior national teams.

In 2017, he was chosen to play at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, helping his team reach the semi-finals.
