Saint-Étienne have had a horrible start to their Ligue 1 season, losing all three matches in the opening three rounds of the Ligue campaign.
Notable, Saint-Étienne have not scored a single goal in the three losses, conceding seven times in the process.
In their opening match against Monaco at Stade Louis II, a strike by Takumi Minamino in the 28th minute was enough for Monaco to win, handing Saint-Étienne their first loss. In their second match at home against Le Havre, quick fires by Abdoulaye Toure in the 57th minute from the spot and Arouna Sangante in the 67th minute saw them lose a second consecutive match.
In their clash, right before the international break, Saint-Étienne lost to Brest in a devastating 4-0 reverse. A fast early start by Brest saw them take the lead in the 10th minute through Mahdi Camara before Romain Del Castillo’s conversion from the spot put them in control ahead of halftime.
Goals from Ludovic Ajorque in the 77th minute and Kenny Lala in the 84th minute from the spot gave Brest a commanding 4-0 win.
Saint-Étienne will look to arrest their bad run of form on Friday when they host Lille OSC and return to action after the international break.

In between these two Ligue 1 matches, Lille OSC played a two-legged UEFA Champions League play-off against Slavia Praha, winning 2-0 at home before losing 2-1 away from home and prevailing 3-2 on aggregate.
Before the first international break of the season, Lille OSC lost 1-3 at home against PSG, with goals by Vitinha’s penalty in the 33rd minute and Bradley Barcola’s 36th-minute strike giving the Parisians control at half-time.
