PSG will be looking to take another step toward the top-flight title in France this weekend when they play host to Le Havre. The French giants already look on course for the Ligue 1 title, as they sit more than ten points clear of AS Monaco.
It has been another professional season in the French top-flight for PSG, as they look on course to deliver another league title. The Parisians currently sit more than ten points clear of AS Monaco in the standings, and they have suffered just a single defeat in their 29 outings this term.
However, it could be argued that many of their issues this term have come in home fixtures. PSG have recorded fewer wins at the Parc Des Princes so far this term, while their only defeat in the competition has been inflicted in front of their home fans. Issues at home have also been evident in recent weeks, as PSG have dropped points in three of their last four matches in the French capital.
Le Havre will have huge pressure on their shoulders at this stage of the season, as they have just four matches to maintain their status in the top-flight. They come into this round sitting in the relegation playoff spot, while they have recorded just six wins from their 30 matches this term.
Their recent form in the competition will also raise concern, as they are without a victory in their last five. Over that period, they have suffered four defeats, which includes losses in each of their last two. Le Havre were most recently beaten at home by Metz last Sunday.
PSG has a very strong record in this fixture after winning each of their last two matches against Le Havre across all competitions. They were very comfortable in the reverse showdown between the sides this term, landing a 2-0 win on the road in December.
These two sides come into this round of matches in contrasting positions in the league standings, and the recent form of both could be the biggest indicator. For that reason, we fully expect PSG to take another step toward the league title by claiming a dominant home success against Le Havre.
