Los Angeles followed up their Club World Cup campaign with a loss against Esperance Tunis (0-1). They could have gotten away with a draw in the ultimate minutes, but Bechir Ben Saïd denied Denis Bouanga’s penalty kick.

So far, the US representative’s performance has been terrible in the tournament. They have no chance of reaching the playoffs, but will at least try to grab a point in the third round.

Both Olivier Giroud and Denis Bouanga – the club’s two star players – were limited against Esperance Tunis. The Gabonese international, in particular, let his team down, but should still feature in the starting lineup.
