Juventus lost to Benfica in their final Champions League group stage game (2-0), but that didn’t prevent them from qualifying for the knockout round. They finished 20th in the league table, which means they’ll have to play in the playoffs to progress further. Thiago Motta’s men will face either PSV or AC Milan, according to The Athletic. 

The hosts also lost 2-1 to Napoli, their first defeat of the Serie A season. Throughout January, the coach has discussed attacking reinforcements, with Kolo Muani joining the team. However, Juventus have also been active in the defensive market. According to Fabrizio Romano, they’re set to sign Lens defender Kevin Danso to cover for Pierre Kalulu’s injury.

Danso isn’t the only defender the squad have been linked with, as they’re also said to be looking at Dinamo Zagreb’s Leon Jakirović.
