Benfica made the worst start to their Champions League Group D when they lost 0-2 at home against RB Salzburg. They aided the Austrian side with Antonio Silva sent off in the 13th minute and having to play with 10 men for the rest of the match.
RB Salzburg took the lead immediately in the 15th minute when Roko Simic converted from the spot. The Austrian side did not look back, doubling their lead in the 51st minute through an Oscar Gloukh strike, thus sealing the win.

They will look to retain their domestic form when they take on Inter on Tuesday as they look for their first points in Group D.
Simone Inzaghi will be without central midfielder Davide Frattesi, with the 24-year-old nursing a muscle injury that has kept him out of the last match.
Right midfielder Juan Cuadrado is a doubt for the visit of Benfica on Tuesday as the 35-year-old recovers from an inflammation.
Inter will miss the services of central midfielder Stefano Sensi (muscular problems) and center-forward Marko Arnautovic (biceps femoris muscle injury) for Tuesday’s clash against Benfica.
Benfica will be without the services of center-back Antonio Silva, who was sent off in the opening match in Group D at home to RB Salzburg.
