Jacob Brown has been a key player for Stoke throughout their run to this stage, as he has scored three goals in his previous four appearances in the competition. It has been an incredible season in the Premier League to this point for Brighton & Hove Albion, as they remain in the hunt for a European spot. However, an FA Cup success would indicate just how far the Seagulls have come in recent seasons, and they have faced few issues to this point, beating Liverpool in the previous round 2-1. 

The Seagulls also have an excellent record against teams in the division below them, as they have progressed from 16 of their previous 17 FA Cup ties. However, both of those defeats have come in the past five seasons, including defeat against Sheffield Wednesday in the 2019-20 campaign.

This will be the second clash between the sides in the FA Cup, with Stoke running out 3-0 winners on their way to the final in 2011. Meanwhile, Brighton has failed to win in their previous ten games against Stoke in all competitions.
