The Italian side have suffered four defeats over the opening months of the season, and they have already allowed 14 goals in the matches that they have played.

Before the international break, they picked up a draw on the road against Lecce, with Domenico Berardi netting the opening goal for Sassuolo before the hosts equalised early in the second half.
