There should be an interesting fixture in La Liga on Sunday, as two sides in direct competition for a European place clash. Real Sociedad will come into the weekend with an advantage over their rivals after winning three of their last four. Meanwhile, that run of form sees them sitting sixth in the standings. The Spanish club will be looking to finish in the Champions League spots once again this term, but they are already five points adrift of Barcelona. Real Betis are unlikely to be overwhelmed by this fixture on Sunday, as they come into the round after going five without defeat. They have been in excellent form in La Liga, and that is evident from the fact that they have suffered just two defeats in 16 outings in 2023-24. But, a run will see them move level on points with Sociedad this weekend. 

Betis would have taken confidence from their recent outing in the top flight, as they battled back to land a draw at home against Real Madrid. Despite having less of the possession in that fixture, they netted the equalising goal with just over 20 minutes remaining through Aitor Ruibal.
