RB Leipzig have recovered from a slow start to the season in excellent fashion, and they will be looking to maintain their winning sequence this weekend when they host Augsburg at the Red Bull Arena.

A victory this weekend could see them move to the top of the standings, but they will need to win by a wide margin to achieve that. Leipzig comes into this fixture after potentially their best performance of the season in their most recent fixture, as they registered a commanding 3-0 win on the road against Union Berlin. Xavi Simons opened the scoring early in the first half, but Benjamin Sesko took the game away from the hosts with two brilliant goals in the final ten minutes.

However, they have picked up two points, and have suffered just one defeat in the Bundesliga. 

Augsburg picked up a second point of the season in their most recent fixture, as they played out a 2-2 tie against Bochum. It was a much-improved performance, but they still handed out too many chances to their rivals.
