It has been a sensational season to this point for Real Madrid, and they could yet end the campaign with European and domestic honours. Los Blancos currently sit at the top of the La Liga standings after winning four of their last five matches in the competition. There will be improvement expected from this Rayo Vallecano side this weekend after the change in management in midweek. Vallecano have picked up points against Real in three of the last six matches between the sides. That comes after a run of 17 straight defeats against Los Blancos in the top-flight. Vallecano have won two of their last three home matches against their local rivals.
Real Madrid don’t have the best record in derby matches, but it could be easy to overlook that trend based on their dominant record in the competition this term. Therefore, we will be siding with the league leaders landing victory to extend their advantage at the summit.
