Partizani took a massive step in their quest to make it into the fourth round of qualifiers in the Europa Conference league when they won away to Valmiera last Thursday. They showed character by coming from behind to win the match and establish a one-goal aggregate advantage ahead of the home clash.
In the first leg, Valmiera took the lead of the match and the tie via a Gustavo Silva Souza strike in the 27th minute, shading the first half. However, Partizani struck in the second half, in the 58th minute, to level the tie through a Tedi Cara strike. Arinaldo Rrapaj won the game for Partizani with his 76th-minute strike.
Partizani will look to control the second leg, extend their aggregate advantage, and make sure to minimize any costly mistakes or unnecessary risks during the match.
