According to esteemed hockey insider Pierre Lebrun, the National Hockey League and the NHLPA are continuing work on the development of a plan for a safe resumption of the NHL season.
According to Lebrun’s source, as part of the safety precautions, players may be required to wear face masks on team premises after the NHL season resumes. The requirement to wear masks would, naturally, not apply to practice and games.
The NHL season is currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The COVID-19 outbreak was recorded late last year in Wuhan, China. Since then, more than 5.7 million cases of infection have been detected in the world. So far, the deadly virus has claimed the lives of more than 355,000 people.
