Colorado Avalanche

Colorado played well in the first two matches and took a 2-1 victory over St. Louis. They were also able to defeat Dallas 4-0. True, they failed to get one more win, because Vegas was stronger in overtime 3-4. By the way, in the duel with the Knights, the Avalanche actively attacked and even made 35 shots on goal, but luck that day was not on their side.

Jared Bednar’s players throughout the season were recognized by disciplined defensive play and neutralizing the opponent’s strengths, but now they could not do anything about the powerful attack of Vegas. It is likely that in the course of other games, the team will work on their weaknesses.

Arizona Coyotes

Arizona had a great streak with Nashville, although they have initially been an outsider in that pair. The team won with a score of 3-1, losing only in the second match 2-4. In the remaining games, the Coyotes dealt with the rival with the scores 4-1 and 4-3 (OT). The last meeting ended only in overtime, as the Coyotes allowed the opponent to recoup just a few seconds before the final siren in the third period.

Fortunately, Brad Richardson saved the situation in overtime. Thus, we note that Rick Tocchet’s men showed an excellent completion of the scoring chances in the confrontation with the Predators. However, we will soon find out what this team is going to look like going further. 

Colorado Avalanche – Arizona Coyotes

In our opinion, Colorado had an excellent performance in all three starting matches and should get another victory in the upcoming meeting. The Avs have a good defense and make good use of their chances in on offense, so they can cope with the Coyotes, which left a lot of strength in the series with Nashville. Our prediction is that Colorado will win in the regular time.
