Netherlands vs France Prediction: Euro 2024 Match on 13.10.2023

One of the standout matches in EURO qualification this week will take place at the Amsterdam Arena on Friday night, as the Netherlands and France lock horns. Both sides currently sit in the qualifying positions, but France could assure their passage through to the major tournament with victory on the road this week.

EURO 2024 Qualifier Preview

The standout international fixture on Friday will see two of the European heavyweight go toe-to-toe in Amsterdam. France come into this match in an excellent position, as they already sit clear at the top of the Group B standings after winning all five of their qualifying matches.

The former world champions have already scored eleven goals in their campaign, and they are yet to concede in five matches. France have quickly got back on track following their penalty heartbreak in the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina last year, as they have won five of their six internationals in 2023. Their only blip came in the previous international break, as they were edged out by a rejuvenated Germany in Dortmund. But, a response is likely this weekend.

There will likely be increased pressure on the Netherlands this weekend, as they are battling for second spot in the Group B standings with Greece. The Dutch currently sit in the prized position, and they have the added benefit of a game in hand over their direct rivals. However, a victory on Friday could yet leave them in the hunt for top spot in the standings.

But, their form this year has been slightly inconsistent, as they have lost three of their six internationals. That includes losses against Croatia and Italy in the Nations League over the summer. However, confidence would have been built following a 2-1 win over Ireland in the most recent international break.

Netherlands vs France Head to Head

France has an excellent recent record against the Netherlands, as they have won six of the last seven meetings between the heavyweights. The most recent win was a 4-0 success in March. However, the last match between the sides in Amsterdam was won 2-0 by the Netherlands in November 2018.

Netherlands vs France Prediction

Both of these sides will be chasing maximum points in qualification this weekend, but it is likely that a draw also wouldn’t be considered the worst result. Therefore, we could see a draw being played out between France and the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Friday.
