Their recent record isn’t that impressive as they have lost their last three, but they certainly should have taken a point in their recent game against Aston Villa. The Saints dominated proceedings in that game, and should have been awarded a penalty in the opening half after a clear handball. Southampton’s frustration with VAR would have reached new heights in the second half, as they were disallowed a goal for offside, as Danny Ings’s arm was ruled beyond the last defender.
