Aston Villa face the daunting task of traveling to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to take on Premier League champions Manchester City in the early kick-off.
While City haven’t had the ideal start to their season, with shock defeats to Wolves and Norwich City, they remain the Premier League’s deadliest attacking force with 29 goals in just nine matches.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa started the season poorly but has picked up two wins and a draw in their last three fixtures and seems now to be getting to grips with life back in the Premier League.
Jack Grealish and John McGinn, in particular, have been impressive and they will hope to continue their good form with a strong performance on Saturday.
City are still without Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte, who are both long term absentees.
Their only other injury concern is Oleksander Zinchenko, who is suffering from illness, but he will hope to fit for Saturday’s match.
Villa, on the other hand, has a relatively clean bill of health, with only Jota currently set to miss out.
Key for them will be Tyrone Mings, who made his England debut during the international break, and summer signing Wesley who already has four Premier League goals to his name.
Manchester City haven’t had the start to the Premier League season they would have hoped as they seek a third consecutive title, and already find themselves six points behind unbeaten Liverpool.
Villa, who currently sit 12th, have already pushed Arsenal and Tottenham away from home this season and will be hoping they can learn from the late goal conceded in both those fixtures.
However, coming off the back of their 5-1 defeat of Atalanta, City should be too strong for the newly-promoted club and their home fans will expect a response after the defeat to Wolves in their last league match at the Etihad.
Therefore, expect City to run out comfortable 3-0 winners on Saturday. Bet on Premier League with 22Bet.
