Manchester United have turned their season around, and they could close to within two points of the top four spots with a fourth straight victory in the Premier League this weekend when they come up against Fulham.
It has been an excellent period of the season for Man United in recent weeks, as the Red Devils have reignited their hopes of a Champions League finish after winning four on the bounce. That run of form leaves them sitting sixth, but they are now just three points behind Tottenham, and five adrift of fourth-place Aston Villa.
United’s upturn in form has seen a transformation in front of goal, with United netting another two goals in a success on the road against Luton last weekend. Rasmus Hojlund has been the man of the moment for the Red Devils, with the young striker netting a brace last weekend to take his tally for the season to seven goals in the Premier League. His hot streak in front of goal could continue this weekend.
Fulham will be the visitors to Old Trafford on Saturday, as the Cottagers look for a vital three points in their pursuit of a top half finish. They come into this round of matches after winning just once across their last five, and they may yet have one eye on the action below them in the standings, as they are just nine clear of the relegation spots.
The Cottagers threatened a late comeback in their most recent fixture in the league, but it ultimately counted for little as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Aston Villa. That defeat ended a positive run of form at Craven Cottage, as they have now lost two of their last eight in front of their home fans.
United are unbeaten in their last 18 matches against the Cottagers across all competitions, claiming 15 wins over that period, and averaging 2.4 goals per game. United landed a 1-0 win in the previous clash between the sides this term, and have won each of their last four against the Cottagers.
United’s form over recent weeks makes them very hard to bet against on Saturday, as we could see their winning sequence being maintained at Old Trafford. Therefore, we will be siding with a 3-1 win for the home side.
