Pep Guardiola will still be without Kevin De Bruyne who is closing in on a return from a partial muscle tear. The Belgian playmaker has been out of action since August 12, 2023, missing Man City’s start to the season. The 32-year-old is unlikely to be available for the home clash against RB Leipzig.
Manchester City will also be without left-back Sergio Gomez; the 23-year-old fullback is nursing a knock since November 3, 2023.
Guardiola will also be unable to call upon goalkeeper Zack Steffen, with the 28-year-old having undergone knee surgery on June 1, 2023. The shot-stopper is unlikely to be available for selection on Tuesday.
RB Leipzig will be without center-forward Timo Werner, with the striker suffering an adductor pain on November 23, 2023. The 27-year-old will be a late test to determine whether he will make it onto the traveling band for Leipzig.
Attacking midfielder Dani Olma is recovering from an acromioclavicular joint dislocation he suffered on October 29th, 2023. The Spaniard has been sidelined for RB Leipzig since, missing the bulk of the Bundesliga side’s domestic and Champions League campaign.
